Final cuts made, Revs ready to rock league

Dixon, Solomon's lead team into 12 straight weeks of competition.

Revs finalize 24-man roster for CIF opener

ALLEN, TX –

The Texas Revolution, celebrating its fifth season of operation in the city of Allen, has finalized its 24-man roster for Saturday’s CIF season opener at the expansion Centex (Temple/Belton) Cavalry. 2016 CIF Coach of the Year Victor Mann and has staff have worked tirelessly this off-season to assemble a squad that is expected to compete for – and win – its first championship.

Highlighting the roster is newly-signed, 6x indoor football champion quarterback Chris Dixon, who previously played for the Billings Outlaws and Sioux Falls Storm in the IFL and spent his last two seasons coaching in the IFL with the Billings Wolves. He’s out of retirement and reunited with former Sioux Falls Storm teammate, receiver Clinton Solomon. In 2012, Solomon led the IFL in touchdowns (27) with Dixon under center.

Dixon will have Darius Fudge and Michael Dyer in the backfield, providing a scary one-two punch on the ground and through the air. Fudge had over 400 yards rushing and receiving in 2016. Tavarres Williams, second on the team in receiving yards last season, is back – but is inactive for opening night.

The defensive line will be led by Chad Ruffin and Meshak Williams, who both have NFL and Arena Football League experience. Jerico Nelson and Frankie Solomon Jr. will anchor the back-end of the defense. The full 24-man roster is below. For full details on each player, see our team by clicking here.
